book club details
-
All book clubs are led by licensed Speech Language Pathologist, Ashley Tibbs, M.S. CCC-SLP
-
No, the book clubs are not considered individualized speech therapy and are not prescribed for specific children.
Although they are packed full of evidence based strategies for speech and language development, and are a valuable extracurricular activity for children who have communication differences, the clubs are simply a community based resource for children and parents who want to learn more about how to use books in daily routines to support language development.

Our current spring series book club is hosted at the fabulous Kids Therapy Co, in Whitmore Lake, MI.
We also have partnerships with Recess Play Cafe, and Ronnie’s Family Salon, both in Ann Arbor, MI. Stay tuned for a summer series at each of these locations.
-
Our current book club is offered on Saturday mornings from 10:30-11:15 throughout springtime.
Summer series book clubs will be offered during the week.
-
Single Book Club classes are $25. When you bundle registration for a multi week series, you pay our “little bookworm” price, which is $20 per class.
-
Click on the book club spring series registration button. You’ll find more details about what to expect from the series, a link to register, and our secure online payment checkout process.
If you’re only planning to register for one class at a time, please use the “single class pass” link. It will allow you to register for a single date of your choice.
If you have any questions about the registration process or are hesitant about whether the book club is a good fit for your child, don’t hesitate to reach out here.

A portion of proceeds from every book club goes directly to supporting our mission to include AAC services and supports in a variety of community spaces (i.e. museums, parks, cafes, daycares, you name it).
